Amenities for your visit at the Seton Shrine

The peace and serenity of the National Shrine of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton provides the perfect location for your next day trip or retreat. In order to help you make the most of your time with us, the Seton Shrine offers a wide variety of amenities to serve your needs.

The Visitor Center, Gift Shop and Museum are open Monday through Sunday 10am-5pm (the shop closes early at 4:30pm).

The Basilica is open for prayer, tours and Mass daily from 10am-5pm.
Mass: Monday through Friday at 1:30pm and Sunday at 11am and 1:30pm
Confession and Adoration: Monday through Friday and Sunday at 12:15-1:15pm

To keep you and our staff safe, we’ve put precautions in place, following guidance from the CDC, Maryland Department of Health, and the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Hours

Open Monday through Sunday 10am-5pm.* We are also open until 7:30pm on Wednesday.
The grounds and historic cemetery are open from dusk to dawn, year-round.

Directions

We are located along US 15, about 10 miles south of Gettysburg and within a one to two-hour drive of major metropolitan areas, like Frederick and Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC, and Harrisburg, PA.

Accessibility

All of our sites, walkways and tour grounds are accessible to physically challenged people.

Parking and Buses

The Seton Shrine offers plenty of free on-site bus and automobile parking. We are a member of the American Bus Association, which means we can easily accommodate large bus groups. If you have additional inquiries about transportation, please contact us at [email protected].

Picnic Areas

There are two picnic areas on the property for your enjoyment. Please note that these are not covered areas so they would not be suitable for use in inclement weather.

Meeting Rooms

The Seton Shrine has three meeting rooms available for your group visit. A/V equipment such as projectors, screens, microphones and speakers are also available for your convenience. To request a meeting room, please contact us at [email protected].

On-Site Catering

We offer on-site catering in conjunction with group visits or as part of a retreat experience. If you would like to have your visit catered, please contact us at [email protected].
